Gold Sinks

Gold Sinks will use common activities required to mine Ophir to also curtail its supply. Gold sinks, like taxes, will have a portion of their collected Ophir deposited into the Gold Drip Allocation contract. A portion of NFT/skins/monthly game subscription/economy engine yield will be used to return Ophir from the LP and deposit that Ophir back into the Game Allocation.
Gold sinks expanded:
Gold required for monthly taxes on housing is dynamic, it will be set to 45% of the mined Ophir from the previous month. This allows taxes on housing to drop if the player base and economy slow and taxes to have a greater impact when the player base is at a maximum, so housing is never a ‘dead space’ and sitting empty. The Ophir LP will have a 1% fee on both buys and sells, Ophir collected is cycled back into the In-Game wallet and the native token is revenue for Metagates. Player activities in the game will each have their own tax rate, but will never exceed a certain % of the total gold dripped from the previous month.
Above is a model of the predicted tax on one year of housing, with 100% of housing placed throughout the year. Drip rates after the first year have a much higher amount of Ophir being paid, but this is matched by that year's increased rate of drip into the economy. With tax being set to Ophir mined and not dripped, the burden on the player base is reasonable.

The daily emission rate for year one is set to distribute 1% of the total supply inside the In-Game Allocation wallet. This is to balance the +/- 10% sold in the early adopter raise and in the Gold Marketplace. Year two is also at a reduced rate, this takes into account the final unlock from the early adopters' vesting term coming to an end. Year three and four is at a rate that predicts a full and vibrant player base and will inject much-needed incentive to go further out into the wild and seek greater challenges.
